This week’s #MondayMantra is: “Fill your life with experiences, not things.”
We were fortunate enough to spend the last 10 days traveling across the country visiting our families. We decided to make an adventure of it; not just jetting from one location to the next, but enjoying the experience on the way. We took a road trip from Indiana to New Hampshire.
In those 10 days, we gained a lifetime of memories. We laughed until we cried with Amber’s family in small town Marion, Indiana. We rode roller coasters in Ohio. We sang every song on the radio known to man as we crossed the entire state of Pennsylvania. We talked about dreams for Brave Body Project. We sipped cocktails at an underground speakeasy in Philadelphia. We reminisced about my childhood at the beach in New Hampshire and again, we laughed until we cried with my family in my little town of Manchester.
Life isn’t about stuff. It’s not about the clothes you wear, the car you drive or the apartment you own. It’s all the things in between that make your life worth living. It’s about the late night car rides and impromptu dance parties. We were lucky to create a lifetime full of memories in the past 10 days.
Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show.
