In the wake of the tragic Orlando nightclub shooting, we can’t help but take a step back and pause. We get so wrapped up in our day to day lives, in the work deadlines, the business meetings, the never ending list of items waiting to be checked off our increasingly busy schedules. It’s unfortunate that it takes something this big, this horrible to make us stop and reevaluate our own lives but it also serves as a harsh reminder that life is beautiful but fleeting.
What happened in Orlando could happen to anyone, anywhere. That could have been your husband, your wife, your best friend. It could have been you. And what’s equally important to remember is that IS someone’s husband, someone’s wife, someone’s best friend. We send our love and support to the victims of this horrific crime and the LGBT community.
This week we put the focus on gratitude. We’re halfway through the #BraveBuddyRunChallenge and we’re so impressed by the hard work and dedication everyone has given to the challenge so far. We want to be grateful for every step you take. Every mile you log. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you go, how long or short your run is. You have a body, you have two legs and you have the ability to put one foot in front of the other. Never take that for granted.
Later this week, we’ll send a Vlog your way about the lessons we learned while running the NYRR Mini 10k and on Friday we have a special surprise for everyone participating in the run challenge!
Get out there and spread some extra love today. Everyone needs more of it in their lives.
