BBP HOLIDAY HUSTLE: ENERGIZE + #MONDAYMANTRA + NEW VLOG!

This week’s #MondayMantra is inspired by the words of Jack Canfield:

“Gratitude is the most important ingredient to living a successful and fulfilled life.”

 

Today, we’re excited to combine our #MondayMantra with the Energize Pillar of the #BBPHolidayHustle and introduce a new segment on Brave Body Project TV: WAKE UP CALL.  The BBP Wake Up Call is like a quick cup of coffee for your brain.  This morning we’re kicking off the Wake Up Call series with the topic of gratitude.

The holidays are an excellent time to ramp up the gratitude factor, especially with Thanksgiving just around the corner.  But practicing gratitude doesn’t have to be a once a year event.   Whatever our individual troubles and challenges may be, it’s important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have, on every level.

Try these steps to make your practice of gratitude more habitual:

1. Make a mental checklist.  Stop what you’re doing right now and think about what you’re grateful for.  It can be something as small as “I’m grateful I got a seat on the subway this morning.” to something as large as “I’m grateful for my health.”  Once you get the wheels rolling on the Grateful Train, you’ll be surprised by how long your list gets.

2. Write it down. Grab a post-it, a piece of paper, or just open up the notes section on your phone.  Write down the top 3 things you feel grateful for right now.  Put it in your pocket and carry it around with you. Place it on your desk at work.  Tape it to your mirror at home.  Seeing your gratitude list throughout the day will feel like a breath of fresh air and energy.

3. Act on it.  Write to someone and tell them you’re grateful for them.  How often do we write people notes just to say we appreciate them?  Not only will it make them feel amazing, but it will make you feel excited and prompt you (and probably them!) to spread gratitude and love around.
