Hey Team BBP!
This past weekend we crossed the finish line of another race, the NYRR United NYC Half Marathon! We learned so much from our first experience running a half marathon and applied all that to our training for this half. This was our first big winter race and let us tell you, training in the cold, dark months of winter is NOT the same as in the summer! We feel really grateful for all the BBP babes who joined us on our weekend long runs and the amazing support we received leading up to the race.
We’d also like to give a HUGE shoutout to everyone who supported Amber as she ran in honor of her grandfather for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Because of your donations and support, Amber was able to raise $3,000 to support the cause and help find a cure for Parkinson’s. We can’t thank you enough for helping us raise money to find a cure.
Are you gearing up for a race? Come run with us in NYC! Brave Body Project Run Club meets every Saturday at 12:45PM. We post the location and the mileage we plan on running on our Instagram every Friday. Come run a few miles with us or stick with us for the whole run! All levels are welcome. DM us on Instagram or shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in joining our team.
Check out our race recap video and thank you again for all the love and support! Here’s to another 13.1 miles in the books.
Be strong. Be inspired. Be brave.
